Here is what I am eyeing this week!

1. Would love to layer this long feather pendant necklace with my other charm necklaces.
2. I only decorate with natural greens around my home. I may try a box wood wreath this year. These look unexpected paired with this gold sunburst mirror.
3. Yes please, to these brass bar stools in this Kelly Wearstler designed space! LOVE! I despise most bar stools I come across.
4. I could use a new pair of Uggs. I've just added these slippers to my holiday wish list.
5. Beauty has no age!

TGIF! Here's the look I'm loving this week. Victoria nailed the wide legged jeans here! This look is casual but chic enough for afternoon drinks with friends! It's been getting chilly here, I love to pair cozy but stylish sweaters (this v neck cashmere is a great price) with an array of jeans and boots...classic + comfy! Have a great weekend loves!

Love the Look

Happy Friday!! I definitely have a soft spot for girlie details in design and fashion! I dressed as a ballet dancer for Halloween. Now I understand why my three year old loves to wear her tutu's over her leggings so much. This skirt would be a great addition to your wardrobe and would steal the show at any holiday soiree! In fact, I may need to snatch it up myself!!

Love the look

The weather has been beautiful here in Boston but the mornings and evenings definitely have a chill in the air. I'll miss summer but I'm embracing Fall and all it's fashion goodness.
I could own a number of outwear pieces and wear them all! There's a fine line between fabulous and tacky with a little leopard jacket.  You need to choose one wisely, either way I think I'd feel happy every time I wore it!! (the one above on the model is adorable)

Love the look: Fall Picks

It's hard to believe Fall is right around the corner. In lieu of a beloved outfit today I'm posting my fall wish list picks with you!! I tend to layer my looks throughout the Fall and winter. Some of my best fashion pieces and investments have been vests. I'm slightly obsessed with them and style them with almost everything! 

Here are the deets and links:

1. I need a new cable knit sweater. This one is actually a boys version but I'm hoping the largest size fits. It's cotton, so it won't be itchy!! I can't deal with itchy sweaters.

2.  This is Longchamp's latest bag. LOVE!

3. I adore this stackable heart ring. Ever since I got divorced and stopped wearing my rings (of course) I've wanted to treat myself to a pretty ring to wear on my right hand instead of my left. This little darling could work.

4. A Tory Burch staple and definite purchase for me this fall.

5. J. Crew Vest, nuff said. (liking this flamingo shade)

6. Leather is everywhere this Fall. This jacket is killer.......need it.

7. Time to switch out my hot pink toes for some moody neutral shades. Essie has great colors.

8. J. Crew over sized jewels never disappoint.

9. Vest #2.  This would work well with both casual and dressy looks.

Happy Wednesday!  Here's what is on my radar this week!!

1. Sienna's hair looks adorbs. I need to perfect this look!
2. I'd live in these Loeffler Randall designed boots.
3. Drooling over Aerin Lauder's lighting collection for Circa Lighting. This beauty would work well in my new living room design.
4. Yum, I might now love the thought of chilly weather but I do love to cook in the Fall.
5. I can't wait to move into my new abode...I'll be sure to host a house warming party inspired by this fabulous bubbly bar!

I'm not sure where August has gone! It seems I blinked and it's already the 19th. We are entering a transitional season in Boston. I adore summer but love wearing little booties with my skinny pants! Here's an outfit that I'll absolutely wear this Fall. The sweatshirt will also come in grey (it's the color I'd mix with this look) and will be available on Wednesday through J.Crew! That Marcie bag is on the top of my list as are these Rag and Bone booties. I own the J.Crew pixie pant. I would highly recommend them. They're flattering and the perfect Fall staple.

Between work and trying to move into my new home (eek!!) I hope to sneak in a few more beach days this Summer! xx

Shelter Loves

I just realized this post is looking pretty girlie!! I love the way blogs capture what is on the author's mind in the given moment they are creating a post. I spent last night brainstorming about the design for my daughter's room. Her walls, per her request, are pale pink and I've decided to keep her closet doors off. I think I may paper the back wall in a bunny print, and add two racks for hanging and shelves for her pretty goody bins.

Love the look

Summer comes to a screeching halt around here! That's why I'm going to fully enjoy the next three weeks of it (the best I can anyway!) It's going to be a gorgeous weekend, so I'll be sure to wear my summery staples! It's also not a bad time to shop all the summer sales for classic finds you can wear next year. ( some of the items above are on sale!!)

Happy Thursday!

Here are my thoughts today! I have lots on my mind. Isn't it funny how one cold day in the middle of July instantly makes you think of dressing for Fall? I'm not ready for the chilly weather yet but I do love a good fall sneak peek!

** Love that Dior quote!! It's so true....I may have to try that sweet red bow and pony look too!

1. I came across this butterfly this week. One would make a great statement art piece in an array of settings!
2. Now is the time to buy summer sandals, they are all on sale. I like the leather and leopard mix of these tiny wedge DVF sandals.
3. oooowww I love a good cocktail + bar arrangement!! I can't wait to arrange mine. I like Camille's tips for styling and making a set up your own!
4. This clutch has been popping up everywhere - i like! Check out MacKenzie's clever organization tip here.
5. I'm going to take my kids blueberry picking next week. I'm planning to make this crostata with the fruits of our labor... my Mom made a delicious blueberry cake this week with her picks.

Blueberry Crostataadapted from Julie Rosendaal

Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3 cups fresh blueberries
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg, lightly beaten
coarse sugar, for sprinkling

Directions

1) Preheat oven to 425F. Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
2) In a small bowl, stir together the sugar and cornstarch to get rid of any lumps. In a large bowl, toss the berries, sugar and cornstarch mixture, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt.
3) Unwrap the puff pastry onto the sheet. Mound the blueberries into the middle of the dough, leaving an inch or two around the edges. Fold the edges over the filling, just enough to keep the berries from sliding out, overlapping and pinching where needed.
4) Brush the pastry with egg and sprinkle with the course sugar. Bake until golden, about 20-25 minutes. If the dough is browning too quickly, cover loosely with foil. Cool for a few minutes and serve with vanilla bean ice cream.

6. Fall fashion sneak peek. Here are two looks I'll be wearing this Fall. I'd love to find a cool (maybe even vintage) leopard coat.

I'm all about the high-low mix in my interior designs and with my wardrobe choices. I picked up a pair of denim cut off shorts this summer. I've been wearing them more than I thought I would!

I've also noticed that my fabulous "women" clients have the BEST purses! This Celine one included!

This week's "love the look" post is inspired by my love of summer-time travel and get aways and a sampling of what I might pack in my overnight bag.

First off, I need to mention Oughton Limited. I own two Oughton Limited designed bags. They are beautifully made, durable, fashionable and super functional! Their new line is made in Italy and includes the Course Overnight bag. (pictured above). I just LOVE this stylish little tote don't you??

My goal is to pack smart and light. There's nothing worse than lugging around a heavy bag while traveling. I try to mix and match staples and dress up/down my looks by changing out my jewelry and accessories, they're light and transportable!

Inspired!

I won't even reveal what time my eyes popped open this morning.(Ridiculous) I have lots going on and can hopefully share all the details soon!

It's a problem when I get so busy that I barely have time to surf the web or my favorite blogs!
