Surely Chic, {room of the week}

Celerie Kemble certainly didn't hold back when designing the model apartment for N.Y.'s upper east side Manhattan House. I especially love the dramatic foyer and living area! These rooms aren't for the faint of heart but they do prove you really can't go wrong with black, taupe, gray and white..{she throws a hint of coral in to break things up, well done Celerie - adoring your work lately!}

  5. I am loving that first image! The large frames over the settee set against the cross-hatched texture on the black walls is such a breathtaking contrast! I also am dying over those side tables... I think with a little black and white paint that those babies could be duplicated!

    Thanks for the GORGEOUS inspiration!

  9. I absolutely love the sunburst light fixture on the foyer ceiling, stunning apartment. I too live in an apartment in downtown Tokyo on the 28th floor, stunning views of the Tokyo Tower and skyline not dissimilar to the one shown here, but we cannot change anything, otherwise it will cost an arm and a leg when we leave, pity, love Celerie's inspiring colour scheme. I guess I will have to stick to soft furnishings and wall hangings to inspire me.

  13. I think I could be happy with just that black wall and those white prints. I know, but I'm willing to let everyone else have the other stuff. They are still as nice.
