This morning I was transported to an idyllic farmhouse located in Bridgehampton, N.Y..After walking through designer Steven Gambrel's Sag Harbor residence, the couple was hooked and decided to hire him for the project. They wanted to create the welcoming cozy environment of Steven's homes but honor the original soul of the structure. The home built in 1840, went through an array of additions and Steven brought on a team to revamp the entire interior. Pale neutrals, classic lines and a hint of bohemian pattern in the family room add a younger touch. The recently added pool and a green house dining pavilion inspired by Ilse Crawford's design at the Ett Hem hotel in Stockholm is a beautiful addition. I hope you enjoy touring this home as much as I did. All images are from the May 2017 edition of Elle Decor. |
