Isle of Mustique, please

Hola! It is insanely humid out this week and in all honesty most of us in older homes in the Northeast don't have the beauty of central AC - With that said, the thought of anything heavy right now is suffocating. Today, I'm inspired by fresh, light and airy spaces, like this cottage located in Mustique. The humidity is one reason why the interiors of the beautiful homes in the Caribbean gravitate towards a palette of white, blue and natural fiber rugs.. Mustique is a private, luxurious, small island. The simple interior color scheme of this cottage style home allows us to focus on the gorgeous architectural details (think treillage, wicker and white) and landscape beyond. Many of the traits of this and other charming cottages on the island have a British influence, thanks to the famed set designer, Oliver Messel. Messel came to the island in the early 1960s . Interior Design by British designer Veere Grenney. Cheers and stay cool! xx
