Friday - This week's finds..

I was reading, Style Court, one of my favorites, this week and came across a posting on California based Coleen and Company, long story short, I fell in love with one of their custom fixtures, The Tole Tent Lantern. The Tole tent comes in a sconce or pendant style and is available in red, grey, ivory and black. LOVE IT.

HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE!

I've been seeing stripes...

Graphic or subtle stripes never really go out of style, but I've been spotting them everywhere lately. {left} Who could forget this chic nursery, featured in Domino a few months ago. I've incorporated large, horizontal stripes on the wall in my son's room. {right} The wonderful striped pillows pictured above by Danish artist, Lisbet Friis, would be a great starting point for a casual den or child's room.

{left} I've had this landscape photo stashed away in my files for a while now, I love how the graphic stripe plays off the sculptural pool. {right} Kate Spade's newest creative director, Deborah Lloyd, is introducing clothing and jewelry to the line.

Where I'd like to..

wake up in the morning...
This room is full of feminine flourishes, I love the clean lines of the headboard and the glamorous details of the mirrored side table and vintage sconce. I often infuse spaces with a splash of color, but this space is so restful...I wouldn't change a thing. {okay maybe I'd add a small, rectangular silk pillow in a burst of yellow}

Currently working on..

I've been working with a lovely family on the interior design of their home. It's located in a beautiful coastal town north of Boston and is situated directly on a bluff, overlooking the ocean...I was finalizing the living room fabric and rug color palette, so I thought I'd share a quick peek with you. I drew inspiration from the deep blues of the ocean, the bright greens of the sea grass and the warm grey tones of weathered wood. I'll also layer in brushed nickel, white and limed woods and of course a little something to throw the room off.
I'll be sure to post the final project photographs...

Fabrics: Cowtan and Tout, Jim Thompson, Celerie Kemble, Brunschwig and Fils, Lee Jofa-Kelly Wearstler, Creation Baumann, Schumacher, Carpet: Stark, Trim: Kravet

Loving..

The sculptural quality of Parisian designer, India Mahdavi's table designs.
I can envision the table pictured above paired with white lacquer or lucite chairs.

Did you know that Monique Lhuillier has teamed up with Royal Doulton to create an elegant line of tableware?

How can I possibly discuss Monique Lhuillier and not mention her fabulous bags...and of course her gorgeous gowns....

A quick peek of her 2009 line...

Emma Hill for Mulberry

{this is my choice because it doesn't look like anything I already own, how about you?}

It's almost {not quite} but almost time to put away those black bags!!! Hooray for warm weather. Here's a sample of Emma Hill for Mulberry's new line.
