Southhampton

I'm guessing most of my reader's receive or purchase Elle Decor. I've been smitten with June's issue all week. It's the best I've seen from them in a while!! If you haven't seen this month's issue. Here's a peek. Enjoy and happy Memorial Day weekend.{I can't tell you how thrilled I am that Summer is just around the corner} These are all summer homes mind you. I'd love to reside in any of these spaces YEAR round!

I love the graphic qualities of pattern and color in this home!

Happy Hot + Humid long weekend!

Kelly Wearstler decorated her son's Los Angeles pre-school read the short article here.
I would have to agree with Kelly's Moma NYC block favorite. See Wedneday's post.
I have them on my son's bureau!

I was inspired by this great poster above. I ordered the one below for my little guy's room.
I may frame it with either a turquoise or orange matte and a white Ikea frame.
More available via The Poster Corner. The paper quality is great!

How adorable is Pia Jane Bijkerk's new book on French artist's handmade crafts. Also find tips on where to discover them throughout Paris!

Dream House Inspiration...

If you're a regular reader of my blog, I'm sure you'll recall my multiple mentions of the desire to someday build a home. I of course have a "dream house style file" that I add to on a weekly basis.. Maybe I'm onto something, how does a weekly What's in the D.H. Style file post sound? In any case, I came across the beautiful creations of Backen Gilliam Architects via Under a Paper Moon. {a fabulous blog} last week. I love the clean style, farm house inspiration, and welcoming facades. I do want a bright and airy home, so I may have to tweak some of the covered porches a bit. Enjoy!

The children's club house. Can you imagine? Go outside to the clubhouse kids!
I want my own clubhouse.

I've admired this sweet little shed {or as they aptly call it "out-building"} ever since I saw it in Cottage Living...I must be getting OLD.

** If you like this little building too, I can't wait to share my recommended reading for June with you...

The Latest Collection...

Julie from the fabulous gallery Jules Place shared some of her latest arrivals with me this week.
Both of these artists have an amazing command of color!! Just beautiful aren't they? The diptych's are by Allison Stewart. The paintings pictured below are by Elise Morris. For more images visit Jules Place online or better yet stop by her gallery during the Open Studios this weekend in the South End of Boston. Maybe I'll bump into you! Happy Thursday.
