Photo Wall...finished...

You may recall a couple of weeks ago I posted the process steps for a client photo wall. click here for a recap.

I began this project with a pile of small, old photographs. I had them professionally touched up in photoshop, re sized, copied and framed. The next logical step was to devise a layout using templates. An important process if you'd like a balanced wall, it's also a great way for the client to get a feel for the overall layout. I'm also drawn to random salon style walls but this client was looking for something more neat and orderly. I was pleased with the final results...

And Don't you just love the colorful vintage poster at the end of the hall? This poster is available through the International Poster Gallery in Boston. {see below for details}

Where I'd like to...

DINE
This is a snapshot of David Jimenez's 2008 table at Diffa. . I love David's fearless style.
I always crave warmth, candlelight and color at this time of year. I'm thinking, turkey day table inspiration? The orange is classic fall but the blue would be unexpected. I've also been dying to paint a wall deep turquoise, this shade is perfection. I just returned from the paint store with similar swatches in hand....

Today's Find..

I'm such a sucker for a good deal! I'm going to park this fiberglass chair at my kitchen table; all it needs is a bright parrot green seat cushion! {oh and did I mention I found mine at Todd's Farm in Rowley for $10.00 - opening that small store front is sounding better and better everyday.}

and a similar pair at Pieces . {one of my favorites}

I also love Fall foliage. What a gorgeous day it is in Massachusetts today, this fiery tree is in my backyard!
Enjoy the last of your weekend!

Friday Finds - Most Wanted - BOOTS

{I'd mix these up but non the less they are both so chic! - Valentino}

{The Moccasin Boot - This Juicy Couture version feels a bit more refined - I likeee}
I don't care what people say - dressing while pregnant NEVER feels quite as glamorous as dressing when you're NOT; So I focus on shoes {until my feet start swelling - then it's Uggs for the rest of the winter}. Here's my favorite boot round-up this Fall!! What I love about all the selections is they work with so many "looks".

{LOVE this season's short boots.. - These are both available through Anthropologie}

{The Riding Boot - by Tory Burch - of course}
{So mod + British looking - Kate Spade}
{Comfy + Casual - Anthropologie}

{Cozy + Warm - Tory Burch}

Bits and Pieces

My pregnancy nesting continues..I've been working on a slew of projects around my house. I'm sort of doing bits in a number of areas but I really want to FINISH everything. {i have three month's left..eek}. So here's this weekend's project {mind you I have to do most of this during my son's nap time. Baby sitter time is used for my business and teaching}.
WHICH COLOR DO YOU LIKE?
I am painting the above piece this weekend. It's either going to be black or turquoise. If I go with black - I own a turquoise lamp to use with it. If I go with turquoise, I'm not sure what I'm going to do..there is a lamp I like from Anthropologie . I'm definitely using one of these pulls from Muffs Hardware , they are larger and more interesting then the current hardware.

Here's a little peek at my dining room. I still need to finish a number of things before I post the entire room. {i also need my photographer to take the photos with the proper lighting - sorry about the blurry image} Aren't those lamps great? I found them at Home Goods..

I'm typically not a fan of insects.....

I'm loving Joseph Scheer's moth prints. What I especially like is that these prints are over sized, colorful and graphic. They would make an impact in a room. Available through Ruby Beets.

Still Pleasantly Surprised..

I spent the weekend in Vermont, one of my favorite places to cozy down + relax. I always bring a design magazine or two along. This weekend I brought Country Living. I'm instantly in a comfy mindset up North so I wasn't at all disappointed with November's issue. Country Living is a magazine I long ago abandoned but I decided to give it another shot after Domino, Cottage Living and a number of other design favorites folded. Well I'm so glad I decided to subscribe. Their fairly new editor does not disappoint, this revived magazine features a modern approach to Country Style. The homes covered are also a bit more accessible then some of the other design publications I receive.

This richly layered cottage is home to Caroline Scheeler the head buyer for Jayson Home and Garden. {above images}

I love the splashes of yellow used throughout this house!
