I love the idea of using vintage suitcases too, but haven't done it yet. Maybe because I can't find any that are decent like the ones in your photos. Love the first one. And of course the Louis Vuitton suitcases are fab!
all of these suitcases are totally done right!! I especially love the suitcases used as sidetables in the bedroom, it has made me reconsider sidetables in our next bedroom!
#1 I love the Timbeland is your favorite music this week. so funny, makes me think of high school.
#2 My sweet friend Laura, who is also a designer, made amazing ottomans out of old suitecases. I think she might be the most creative person ever. see: http://upcydown.blogspot.com/2010/03/it-suites-me-fine.html
I love it! Thank you for that! I wanted to introduce you to a favorite blog of mine http://www.designtrackmind.com/. She also has a website for her interior design business based in Newton MA at www.melissagulley.com . I think you might like it because you both have fabulous taste.
LOVE this look - especially the colorful suitcases in pic two. Especially since otherwise all these lovely travel pieces will mostly go to waste. We're all into airline-proof nylon these days! No sense in letting baggage claim destroy our favorite designs. The pic with LV trunks as a side table I blogged about a while ago - http://sfair.blogspot.com/2010/03/vuitton-home-decor.html I THINK this is the original source, although I'm not sure... http://margaretlongdesigns.com/blog/category/inspiration/page/2/
