That's it...

The house next to mine recently sold, it had been empty for a while..for me that means I need to make a move on my window treatment decisions sooner then later. My kitchen and dining room feel more like a fish bowl then a home. I'm going to order the kitchen treatments first, for functionality and the occasional "air-born" bowl of spaghetti {hurled by my son of course}. I need a choice that easily wipes clean. After being inspired by the above image, it was clear that bamboo blinds were the perfect solution. They're durable, affordable and work with a diversity of styles. I'm ordering samples today from here and here.

Sounds like the perfect choice to me. I had to laugh about the bowl of Spaghetti you sound like one smart Mommy. Happy Thursday, Kathysue

We decided to go with bamboo blinds for our new condo as well. I love the look!

It's too bad Target doesn't carry their line any longer - they were a great product, especially for the price. You could also try Linden Street from JC Penny and Ballard Designs. Good luck!

Very good choice. Bamboo blinds always remind me of the summer, the Mediterranean ..

Don't be discouraged by the samples! Sometimes they come and you think, "What?!" Esp with bamboo.

New to your blog. I think we might be cosmic twins, esp after I read your post on Molly Leutkeymeyer (my favorite). And since you're in Boston, can you recommend food fit for the kids??? We'll be in Boston next weekend for my husband's reunion. Can't wait! Best, Renee

Restaurants fit for kids?
Honestly, I take my little guy everywhere {well everywhere casual and loud that is} they usually have something for the little ones..burgers, chicken, a fruit cup is always a big hit with my son.

I love bamboo blinds and have them everywhere in my house. That said they aren't opaque, and although the offer shade during the day, you can see through them (from the street) at night. I like the bamboo blind and curtain combo it's very chic.
