| I love the idea of creating a wall of books for children! Here are some perfect examples of what I'm talking about. The shelves don't look difficult to make at all. I read to my children all the time. The comfy nook pictured above would be ideal, it's located in a second floor hallway. |

We should all TOTALLY approve of projects regarding ANYthing that encourages "younguns" to read~~~ These nooks make it more inviting & fun for them, I think... (kind of like having their VERY "OWN LIBRARY"! And who couldn't feel "special" about THAT???)...

I agree with the other commenters, ANYTHING that encourages reading in children is a YES in my book. LOVES that they look so polished while they're at it!
Displaying books this way has always been a favorite of mine. I worked at a bookstore years ago, and learned to face out various books on the shelf. In a bookstore this serves two purposes: to bring attention to a particular book and also to break up the shelf line. I use the same idea in my own home to showcase a special book with a great cover. It provides the same interest as placing art on one's bookshelves.
Love the wall of books, especially filled with kids books! I can imagine it will be a safe haven area for me (even though I'm not a kid!)

Yes I've been seeing these reading walls a lot lately! What a great idea, perhaps I can incorporate that somehow into my daughter's room -- ooh, like around her window seat?
