OH BOY

Design: Sherry Hart
Someone very close to me is about to have a baby boy anytime now! We briefly discussed the little guy's nursery today. Here's some inspiration for my readers and for you K!!! What I love about all these rooms is that they aren't too fussy. The designs use a few grand gestures but are fairly simple. Don't be afraid to use larger scaled objects in a small person's room!

I never tire of David Hick's La Fiorentina print
I adore the artwork above the bed - If anyone knows the source, please do share!!
I love the idea of a map wall in a child's room or play room.
The animal prints are great - Restoration Hardware

I love the round little table/ottoman in the picture with the Hicks fabric sofa. Any idea where that's from? Love love these nurseries!

Love that first one by Sherry of Design Indulgence and the one from Erin of Design Crisis. Both so simple and original!

I love all these rooms. Some of my favorites but also a few I hadn't seen before which is always fun. Also the dog poster is a vintage design by Jacoby called Dog with Stamp. Adorable.

Wing chairs on rockers - love more than fully upholstered gliders! Cheers!

Mmm very hip spaces. I wish I was that cool mom that could design like that. I hope to create something with that vibe for my daughters next room. They currently share for bonding reasons. I think! ;D But my soon to be 9 year old wants her independence from her little sister.
Enjoy your week

I love the one with the red "telephone" door and striped rug. Lots of inspiration though!
