the hicks pendant

these photos {which are bouncing all over blog world i'm sure} further confirm my love for The Hicks Pendant by Thomas O'Brien for Circa Lighting. Check out more of Nicole's {from Sketch 42}fabulous apartment featured in Rue this month. I'm loving Rue Magazine!
I'm into the warmth of brass lately, so this may be my current choice.

It's a miracle

My kids are both napping, that never happens, EVER! My son no longer naps {he's 3} but he fell asleep on the sofa..just keeping my finger's crossed that he doesn't have an accident. I should be doing something productive like scrubbing my kitchen floor, but I have a terrible cold. {good enough excuse for me} So I'm blogging to you instead! I want a new blouse, seems to the "hot" item for Spring. {whenever that is?}This funky snake skin blouse from Zara would work. I'd wear it with skinny blue jeans and go out for cocktails with the girls! Enjoy your Sunday. xx. off to pay some bills.

Hang up!

Coral Chair

I'm not going to lie, I'm very thankful for so much, but I do have a few "wants/needs" too!
One of those, is a fabulously spacious mudroom. With two kids and about four feet of snow outside {that will inevitably turn into a slushy mess this Spring} this mudroom would be perfection. I'd paint the chair coral or something but other then that I'd take it! {looks like a man lives here, a woman's coats and shoes would bring this mudroom to life - no offense guys but this one doesn't wear much color}

 and you what would make your life a bit easier??

Fashionable thoughts on a snowy day!

First off, Emerson Made is looking adorable lately! She just launched pieces for her spring line, darling, head over and check them out! Secondly, I'm wearing my red pants today, I'm so over all this snow, they cheer me up! I suggest you purchase a pair too! I prefer them with ballet flats, but I'll wear them with my wellies today!

Next thought is that I've decided I need to add an oversized flower to my wardrobe. I love how they add a bit of  ZING to classic pieces! Good Day to you!!

Surely Chic, {room of the week}

Celerie Kemble certainly didn't hold back when designing the model apartment for N.Y.'s upper east side Manhattan House. I especially love the dramatic foyer and living area! These rooms aren't for the faint of heart but they do prove you really can't go wrong with black, taupe, gray and white..{she throws a hint of coral in to break things up, well done Celerie - adoring your work lately!}

Lantern Love II

I'm loving Coleen and Company's latest tole lantern. It's available in three sizes and comes in the colors below. I would love the cream in a chocolate or charcoal room! i think the coral red would add a nice splash of color in a cream entrance! Either way, I'd take one!

I still love the tent tole version too! I hope I can incorporate one of these into a client project soon!

a little peek

excuse the holes in the ceiling, still haven't found the perfect chandelier for my dining room!
I was happy with my daughter's small birthday celebration on Saturday, thought I'd share a peek at the details {as some of you may remember, i featured my inspiration board last week! I had the bib and invitation custom made through Etsy! Emerson wouldn't touch her cake, I guess she has plenty of time to learn about sweets! If you live in the N.E. hope you're staying warm! I'll never warm up to -20 weather!!

on a snowy day. I am wearing warm, red pants for my daughter's birthday party tomorrow, how cute would they look paired with an animal print sweater? {also loving the yellow}

of escaping our third snowstorm and heading to the beach. Sadly, that is not my reality this winter, but a girl can dream.
I love the dreamy quality of artist
Cheryl Maeder's oversized (40 x 60) beach photographs. She is having a show this weekend at Art Palm Beach at Galerie Mark Haehem, booth #214.

Here are the bags I would bring. Anya Hindmarch's resort collection would work perfectly.

Gorgeous digs and my new favorite color....

I love it when I come across mid-century modern decor done well! Designer Kristin Gallipolli's home is filled with an array of her mid-century finds. She's done a great job pairing pieces and enlivening them with colorful fabrics and prints. I'm currently loving the magenta shade she's using..It's a bit offbeat and unexpected. Although sometimes a bore,  the all-white back drop really works in this sun-filled home!! Kristin also owns a home store, Mason, in New Caanan, CT.

i love my job.

I was busy working away on a client presentation tonight when I came across this chair. I think I've seen these before, but I thought I would share them with all of you. I have a similar pair of chairs at my house but with a round back.  I am often asked by friends where I found them?? I purchased my chairs YEARS ago from the Martha Stewart Catalog {remember when she had a product catalog? like i said, years ago}. This timeless piece also comes in teal and white! Available through Wisteria.

Trina Turk for Schumacher - Collection Two

I loved this embroidered fabric in person, this image capture isn't doing it justice!
Schumacher has launched its second collaboration with california fashion designer Trina Turk. The new Spring collection of indoor/outdoor fabrics are as colorful and fun as her first. Most of her new prints are fashioned or vintage inspired. A number of the prints were in her 2010 fashion line, the others are interpretations of vintage fabrics. {love that}

I saw them in person at the Design Center this morning, the perfect pick me up on such a slushy day!
See all the color-ways here:
