Wish List

As much as I LOVE and wear my black Hunter wellies with the fleece inserts all winter. I'd LOVE to get a brightly colored pair too. I love style with a bit of an edge, but there's no denying being a Boston girl. Sometimes I appreciate a little prep in my step. I could use these to brighten my day in slushy Vermont this weekend. Happy Weekend.  I'll be back on Monday sharing my entire random, holiday wish list with you! xx
What color would you opt for? I may need hot pink! (although, it's last years color). Here's this year's hot colors.

Wish List - little leather jacket

This post will definitely seem random and unseasonable if you live anywhere south of the Mason-Dixon line. I decided this weekend, I need a leather biker jacket, specifically a leather biker jacket with quilted sleeves. It's the perfect Spring piece if you live in Boston or NYC. Winter is far too cold to wear leather here. It was 40 today, and 50 all weekend, the perfect temp. for a little black biker jkt. if you ask me. The jacket in the first two images is PERFECTION. It's by Balenciaga and is sadly way out of my "snack bracket". (If Balenciaga feels like shipping one over for free, I'll take it and promise to post an array of looks in it! ;) - dreaming here obviously). Luckily there are some knock offs available. I guess I'll start saving now, maybe I can purchase one this Fall or with any luck at 50% off this June! The thing I love most about leather jackets is a. you feel like a rock star in them and b. they pair with almost anything. It adds the perfect edge to classic looks and works like a dream with jeans, boots, flats, skirts etc. etc. etc.
I'd wear my little leather like this and the image above. Love it!

I LOVE

a home with a little bit of the unexpected, a hint of glamour and "je ne sais quoi"? Maybe some sex appeal.  People are often scared to take risks with their wardrobes and homes! I say, what do you have to lose? Especially with paint, it's a small investment, with large rewards! (my next home? will have charcoal dining walls - I'm thinking of mixing deep grey with lavender, medium navy and parrot green accents)

Fashion stylist Jackie Astier 's home is loaded with sex appeal and a mix of amazing vintage furniture and found objects. (note: I want her entire outfit pictured above, that skirt? those shoes? killer)
Okay so my dream sofa?? That's it.  A modernized, velvet covered, tufted chesterfield. If I ever have the space or the budget that sofa will be mine! I'm also still coveting a vintage Moroccan rug.
Don't be afraid to fill a wall with a grid of art! Think "grand gestures" when designing your home!

Pause

My therapy?? Getting lost in blog world. I don't have much time to read blogs these days, but losing myself in blog land is free {well relatively speaking} and inspiring. Okay, it's free until I come across AMAZING items like these! That DVF dress above??? Ridiculous!! It's no longer available! Bummer, I guess my Amex will thank me.  On the other hand I may have to add the Emerson Made shift dress/top {below} to my wish list for the Fall. I just pinned it to my Pinterest account, so there's no way I'll forget about it! Off to do the dishes! That short break was much needed.

Evergreen

I never tire of this fresh, fabulous shade! Hoping your holiday season is shiny and bright so far! I spent the weekend in Vermont, it was beautiful there this weekend. I snapped a quick snowy photo of my little ones. {not easy with a three year and ten month old}. I'll share it once my cards go out. How precious is this simple little tree?

Elva Fields, Any of this designer's necklaces are at the TOP of my wish list!
The benches, rug and credenza are all so gorgeous! Very my taste right now!

I just used a yummy velvet chesterfield sofa on a project! I will own one myself someday. This sofa literally envelopes you but is so chic at the same time!

dear santa,

Seriously, all I really desire for christmas is one of these pieces by jeweler Marcia Moran, {the stackable rings may be number one, but who asked?}.  Don't you love how the blogging world works? It's so inspiring isn't it? I popped over to one of my daily's today StarFish and Sundresses {she often posts about some of my favorites..} and was reading about her amazing "for the jewel box gift guide". I came across Marcia's work, and was hooked. So when people ask, do you ever get tired of blogging? I then think of all the incredibly talented, supportive, kind, creative people I am exposed to on a daily basis, my answer: NEVER. Have a good day!

Dear J.Crew

I'll start by saying keep the amazing goods coming, you're really on a roll this Fall..  I guess this note is really about a wish.
My birthday is coming up very soon and oohh is it a doozy {ouch}, so I figured I should buy myself a little gift to ease the pain. I am smitten with the adorable Rhapsody chain bag on your site and in the catalog. Is it true you've already sold out of the black and green? The camel could be an option but is there any chance you'll be getting the other colors in?? It would be great if you did, place another order that is, clearly it's a hit! {I used to work in buying so I do know how the retail world goes..hopefully there is another order out there? somewhere? } Thank you in advance for any information!

a side note: {I really try to look at birthdays as a blessing, I've lived another healthy and happy year! Okay, I promise not to get too corny on you now - Happy Monday} You'll have to bear with me this week..My PC died, so I've decided to switch to a Mac, I'm over all the viruses out there in pc world. {I am still learning the ropes.}

Escape..

Because we ALL need to steal away + {dream} once in a while.
If I had a country home it would feel sort of like this..
I would have to switch out the armoire for something a bit different, but that light fixture and rug are fab.

I would dine Al Fresco whenever I had the chance!
