If my memory serves me correctly I believe Patrick Dempsey is separated but this is the home he share(s)d with his family in Malibu. A favorite pastime of mine is perusing local real estate listings...I can thank my parents for this! As children they would tell my sis and I we were going on a "mystery ride". We both knew this meant getting an ice cream followed by a real-estate drive by or two. It's a fond memory and I think it rubbed off on me. My parents eventually found their dream piece of land this way and built their own home. I too dream of doing the same someday.
For now, I just have my eye out for that perfect find or "dream house". Massachusetts doesn't have too many modern homes with open floor plans but if I have said it before, I will say it again, Southern California styles are some of my favorites. The open and airy homes, bungalows and modern farm houses of Malibu resonate with me. Patrick's is the perfect mix of modern and rustic. Choosing one look alone gets predictable but when you blend the two, amazing things happen....All images via AD, find more on this story here.

It is very nice .. more livable looking than some I see. I like the way the firewood is stacked .. :)
