Shelter Loves 11.15.12

Here's what I'm pinning, loving, pinning this week. If you're looking for more design inspiration be sure to follow my boards on Pinterest. In the meantime here's the skinny on the bling above!

1. Stylistically J.Crew pretty much nails it for me, mix in an edgy pair of faux leather pants and I'm all set wearing almost anything from their site! I may need to add this necklace to my bauble collection. Being a single momma I don't get much for Christmas, (really I'm ok with that) I guess that doesn't mean I can't buy a present for my self once in a while! ;)
2. I love Barrie Benson's designs and this red door at her home is AMAZING, hardware and ALL!
3. Lauren Merkin's clutch is the perfect staple for any wardrobe! I have about six clutches that I rotate when going out, I'm loving this embossed lizard kelly green beauty.
4. Scattering bowls of vintage ornaments is a great way to add some holiday flair to your home.
5. Oh Tory, I do love your shoes!! And your shoe boxes for that matter.
6. This is a clever idea, remove your closet for a stylish console, that's if you can give up the coat storage. I'm loving the pulls on this piece!
7. My newest style icon?? Giovanna Battaglia, she's fierce and fearless. I love that.
8. Wish list! See #1, for thoughts on the matter. via Kate Spade

SHELTER LOVES 7.27.12

Here's what I have my eye on this week....

1. The Hampton's Show House Nursery by designer House of Honey
2. These glamorous Emerald Earrings by Tory Burch
3. Someday I'll own a classic Cartier watch that can be passed down to my daughter and then to her daughter etc. etc.
4. Aside from honesty, the ability to laugh easily is a favorite trait in a person. On the dating front I  absolutely need this quality in a guy. ;)
5. I would love to add a Chippendale inspired stair rail to my new home!! (when I find it, that is)
6.  Ever since a fox family inhabited my urban backyard, I've got a penchant for foxes. I'm loving this door knocker from Ivy and Vine.

Eye Candy

It's no secret that I LOVE color and a bit of fun bling in my life!! Lately I don't have much time to look through the slew of catalogs that roll into my house but yesterday I did set aside five minutes to fly through the J.Crew catalog. I'm currently loving their jewelry collection. The flower lattice necklace is just too adorable!! I also need a classic link bracelet! The bubble necklaces are well priced and are just a great staple! Oh and btw mother nature granted my wish, it's going to be 93 in Boston tomorrow. I won't make it to the beach but it will be nice to wear a sleeveless top or maybe a sundress .

Bedazzled

How I'd love to add a bauble or two to my jewelry box from Lera Lee's gorgeous jewelry collection!  Lucky you if you're a girl without a budget! I absolutely have a jewelry budget and these pieces sadly are out of my range.

Custom solid gold Name Bracelet

I would layer this with other chains or simply wear it alone. Simple but beautiful!

Bamboo Bangle

I met a friend for drinks last week, she was wearing an adorable set of bamboo bangles by John Hardy. I can't drop $350.00 on bangles at the moment, but I may be able to splurge on this faux gold set for $14.99! They look great alone, or layered with other bracelets. (this image above isn't bamboo but this is the look of a simple bangle)

These would be my first choice!! Available here.
The $14.99 option!
John Hardy - through Neiman Marcus.

wish list

I really don't have much of a wish list this year but I would like a new ring for myself! I am actually going to start my very own ring fund and I may just buy one of these beauties..my real wish, besides the obvious {health and happiness for myself and family} is to buy a little bungalow for my children and I this year! The two rings above are my favorite!! These are from the Sundance Catalog. I was very impressed with their selection this year. Do you have a favorite? I think I would go with the Druzy ring, {1st one} it's more affordable and wouldn't be mistaken for an engagement ring.

simply darling

I love brooches, they're so timeless aren't they? I'm not a huge collector but think I could be happy owning an array of large vintage {or new} brooches. I loved the idea of attaching one to the outside of a wrapped gift. {the gift doesn't necessarily have to be wrapped in a shirt, you could use any simple paper}. even better if the treat inside {like this adorable jacket} went with the brooch.

Evergreen

I never tire of this fresh, fabulous shade! Hoping your holiday season is shiny and bright so far! I spent the weekend in Vermont, it was beautiful there this weekend. I snapped a quick snowy photo of my little ones. {not easy with a three year and ten month old}. I'll share it once my cards go out. How precious is this simple little tree?

Elva Fields, Any of this designer's necklaces are at the TOP of my wish list!
The benches, rug and credenza are all so gorgeous! Very my taste right now!

I just used a yummy velvet chesterfield sofa on a project! I will own one myself someday. This sofa literally envelopes you but is so chic at the same time!

dear santa,

Seriously, all I really desire for christmas is one of these pieces by jeweler Marcia Moran, {the stackable rings may be number one, but who asked?}.  Don't you love how the blogging world works? It's so inspiring isn't it? I popped over to one of my daily's today StarFish and Sundresses {she often posts about some of my favorites..} and was reading about her amazing "for the jewel box gift guide". I came across Marcia's work, and was hooked. So when people ask, do you ever get tired of blogging? I then think of all the incredibly talented, supportive, kind, creative people I am exposed to on a daily basis, my answer: NEVER. Have a good day!
