Loving

this classic duplex designed by Christina Murphy interiors! Oh and thank you so much for all the well wishes for my Nantucket get away. It was a blast!! I can't wait to return this summer. I was then off to Chicago for a crazy, busy day yesterday. Glad to be home, and now I'm dealing with a leak in my office. ;)  ahh the craziness of life continues....

I love this color combo. Bright moss green is so fabulous. I'm currently using it in a project myself!

For The Kiddies - Wall of Books

I love the idea of creating a wall of books for children! Here are some perfect examples of what I'm talking about.  The shelves don't look difficult to make at all.  I read to my children all the time. The comfy nook pictured above would be ideal, it's located in a second floor hallway.

Hallway Niche..You can NEVER have enough storage..

Being a scrupulous space planner myself, I love to see a functional use of dead space.

BOOK WORM..

{LACK before - coming soon - LACK after}

Like most interior designers {or design/home obsessed individuals} I never have enough storage for all my "stuff".. tear sheets, books, client binders, pretty things..So I purchased the ever-useful, affordable LACK book case from Ikea last week. I'm so excited to set it up, organize and display my objects. {pictures to come soon}. What I really love though, is manipulating dead space for floor to ceiling built in book cases! Here are a few favorites.

I know this is a bit of the "book" subject, but I don't know a woman {or stylish} man who doesn't need extra space for shoes + bags!

Friday Finds...What I'm loving this week.

This beautiful pool and meticulous landscaping! What a peaceful image.

This amazing little bar spotted via one of my favorite blogs, Coco and Kelly. It's available through
Maison Luxe!

I love the idea of hanging an oversized bookrack in a play or bedroom. This particular one is wood with a plexi-front.
If you're not thrilled with the natural look, the paint color options are endless. I've always loved children's book illustrations. I may have a custom version of this made for my little guy.
This one is available through Whitney Brothers. I could use one of these in my office for magazine and design book storage! {now that's a thought - I would def. have it lacquered.}

These recycled burlap bags make such fun storage containers don't they?
Available through Three Potato Four.
HAPPY FRIDAY!

Where I'd like to....

READ THE MORNING PAPER!!!

Seriously, both rooms are beautiful!! I know I broke my rule, but how could I choose between these? and post one? I love the glimpse of the kitchen through the family room in the first shot. It's a what lies beyond moment, that is why I just HAD to post them as a pair.
I could write all day discussing what thrills me about these spaces, but let's start with the amazing mix of colors!!!!! The green and turquoise together{my favorites} are gorgeous and the taupe kitchen is unexpected + earthy. I love white kitchen's with the best of them, but it's nice to change it up!!!
