Most of my fellow design obsessed reader's will spot Ashley's (she is now the creative director for her family's well known company, Stark Carpet) gorgeous interior in this month's Elle Decor, but for those of you who don't subscribe I thought I'd share the "great-ness". I loved Ashley's original home featured in Domino a few years ago. I can scrape up those photos, if anyone is interested. Her latest Manhattan high rise is a bit more sophisticated and grown up but it's equally gorgeous. Ashley has a great eye for fabulously chic design details. The lighting, tufting, rugs (of course) and the dialogue between the chosen furniture pieces is spot on and beautifully done. Her flat is a mix of vintage and new, just what I love to see.... |
The credenza is the perfect shade of deep navy, without that contrast this room could have looked washed out. |
The deep gray fabric covered walls in the study cozy this room up beautifully! |
Her dressing room |
I've wanted a venetian bubble chandelier for as long as I can remember. This one is gorgeous! |

Such a pretty home, I love what she's wearing too.
What a beautiful house tour, and each room seems to have a very distinct personality. Thanks for sharing!
That study is my favorite room of the bunch...but even with those super thick marble counters (love!), the kitchen though is too sterile for me. And apparently the stylist thought the same thing, what with the odd candy jars to punch it up a bit.
Wow, Ashely's home is amazing and oh so glamorous! I adore the living room with the touch of leopard and incredible artwork being the focal point in the room. I also love the marble kitchen and Ashley's dressing room - simply divine!
Where we live affect a lot of our minds and play a silent therapy which is why there is so much emphasis on good living and aesthetic decor...also the face value look good factor is always there.
Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for the great post :)
I loved her outfit in this! I wish my hair looked like that! Also love your blog. It's a relaxing break unlike some of those others that have gone the way of sponsor-paloza. I know you gotta eat, but anyway, you are doing it right in my humble opinion.
Changing the stool selection and adding a simple graphic patterned window treatment in the kitchen would surely soften it up a bit!
I love the way she has fearlessly mixed materials - lucite, mirror, and wood, as well as brass and chrome together. Lovely!
Very glam. I love the dining room table and light fixture. And the seating in the study. It's all very beautiful, but still looks comfortable.
so stunning. that white tufted sofa has me drooling!
Love all the decoration! here´s an interesting website do take a look: http://www.bocadolobo.com/coolors/
Hideous!!! The fur, the animals, the decor and what is up with that cartoon engagement ring? Weird!!! Not my style, sorry.
I love to read an array of comments on my blog, because I like to hear your opinions and thoughts. The irony is all the comments with a different or negative viewpoint are always done so anonymously!
funny isn't it?
